Friday Haiku 1/11/08

Greetings all! Man, you take one day off from blogging and the cobwebs really start to come in. Or maybe it’s just me. But, as you know, some days are harder than others to put up some quality content. One answer is to skip the day entirely, which is a valid response. Some will post ANYTHING just to get something in. Since NaBLo is over, that to me doesn’t seem like such a good idea. But it’s Hai-day, goshdarnit! I am SOOO not going to disappoint my loyal fan. The theme this week: Writers Block. Enjoy! Or, if you didn’t, try here.

Somedays I do find
That coming up with haiku
Is not in the cards.

Cannot find a theme.
I guess this is writers block.
What will I do now?

I should just relax.
Given time, I am sure that
The muse will visit.

But what if she won’t?
My readers, all two, have come
To expect haiku.

But they are my friends.
Surely they will understand
An off day for me.

But what is this here?
Haiku magically appeared!
How did this happen?

Oh thank you dear Muse!
You have not forsaken me!
Haiku Friday Lives!

That is one creative ku. I had a bit of writer’s block yesterday, too.

  4. Turned out pretty good!

    Happy Friday.

  5. Secret Agent Mama

    Reader number 5 checking in!

    I loved your haikus, btw!

  6. Great ku: ingenious.

  7. Is this like a Seinfeld-Haiku? Nice. At least you don’t have blockage anywhere else. 🙂

  8. I thought of you and your haiku yesterday. There’s that haiku contest (is it Ito En?) and they had the haiku by the winner printed on my tea bottle.

I’ve felt a bit blocked this week. (Don’t you EVEN comment until I’ve said the rest LOL.) It’s been more work to push past.

Your haiku is great and funny.

  9. Yeah, sorry… that doesn’t qualify as writers block. LOL. Quite a brilliant theme though.
I’m with you, don’t post just to post , y’know. I want substance baby 🙂

  10. heehee! that muse just sneaked up on you and voila! haiku!

    nicely played!

(and i! use! too! many! exclamation! points! today!)

  11. I hope you enjoyed your day of reading yesterday. Love this idea. I’ve got one up at Small Reflections, but am having trouble deciding what to do at my other blog. I’m hoping when I stop doing distracting things and sit down with the blank page, something will emerge as it did for you. Well done!
    Hugs and blessings,

  12. You blogged. About blogging.
    You ‘kued. About ‘kuing.
    You are my hero.
